Kate Hoyle started Bothy Threads about 10 years ago; "Stitching has been my life long hobby and I simply ran out of kits that I wanted to stitch and so designed some of my own! The business really took off when I began to ask artists, whose work I liked, if I could use their work to base designs on. Since then, the business has grown more strongly and now I use several artists' work under license and produce about 100 different designs. Most of the designs are cross stitch worked on 14 or 16 hpi Aida, but we do have some made up as tapestry kits too!"
